| Number of Users | The maximum number of users that will utilize or see IDEA data. When software tools or reports are publicly available via the internet, the number of users will be set to “unlimited”. However, even if the tool is publicly available, we may set the number of users considering the realistic situation. These are cases when the substantial number of users are greatly restricted for reasons such as, the tool that incorporates IDEA data is only used in a specific sector and the versatility and reusability of the tool is low. | 50 users |
| IDEA data disclosure level | Please clearly indicate the purpose of the software and explain how IDEA data in that software will be used and represented to the users of that software. When IDEA data is provided outside a software in a form that can be easily referenced and reused (for example, if the process names and GHG emissions are described in a tabular format in a PDF report), the level of disclosure is regarded as to be high. | L1=10% (data can be restored with some effort) L2=20%(partial information is disclosed) Open=100% (all data is directly disclosed and reusable) |
| Number of processes | The total number of processes that the user may use. You can see the list of available processes in a separate table. | 50 processes |
| Number of sectors | This is the total number of unique sectors the process belongs to. Sector classification is an industry classification that each process belongs to, and is the upper two digits of the IDEA product code of that process. | 10 sectors |
| Number of Elementary Flows and Impact areas | This is the number of elementary flows (e.g. carbon dioxide) and/or the calculation results (characterization, damage assessment, single score results when impact assessment methods are applied to a process) that will be used. | 2(GHG emissions and water consumption) |
| How users will agree to the EULA | When software and reports including IDEA data are distributed, it is essential to include provisions on the limitation on the use of IDEA data in the “terms of use” of the software, etc. and notes of reports. The calculation formula will distinguish between how you acquire the users consent to these “terms of use”. The two methods of acquiring user consent are “Signature/Seal” Or “Other method” (Seal includes digital signatures). | “Signature/Seal” Or “Other method” |
